Exploring Ireland 3-8-17
I woke up this morning after seventeen hours of sleep thinking that I was still in my little hotel room in the center of Dublin. However, I didn’t wake up startled to hear the seagulls or the the quiet hustle of Fleet Street, so my immediate thought was, "It must have been a dream"! Ireland felt like a dream, for sure. Having the opportunity to view a small glimpse of a life of my ancestors was something that I never thought would be possible. My return to Europe was unlike any other. For the first time in my life, I felt connected to the land and people around me. It felt like I had found a little piece of home. It was an easy, loving, connection that I felt while walking the city streets and climbing the steps of the Cliffs of Moher. I couldn't imagine leaving this absolutely gorgeous place, or experiencing any more funny experiences with my friends who I accompanied on this short trip.
My friends and I agreed multiple times that Ireland was special. The people were more kind that I could have imagined. The Beef Stew and Fish N Chips were better than anything imagined. The scenery was more colorful than I could have dreamt. I do believe that I will be returning soon, in the near future hopefully.
For now, I will have to dream of it in my sleep…
